The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), is an autonomous organization of the Government of India, involved in India's global cultural relations, through cultural exchange with other countries and their people.

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations with a mandate of administering scholarship programs of the Government of India annually, awards about 3940 scholarships under 26 different schemes to foreign students from about 140 counties. The courses offered for studies are for under-graduation, post-graduation and M. Phil /PhD levels. In every academic year ICCR sponsors about 6000 plus foreign students who are studying at various Central/State Universities, IITs, NITs and Agricultural Institutions etc.

The ICCR developed the “Admissions to Alumni (A2A Portal)” to streamline and make the scholarship work transparent. The portal was launched in 2018. ICCR scholarship programs are digitized for aspiring foreign students and have become effortless and transparent offering a wide range of choices to students

  • Admission into NIT Calicut is as per NIT Calicut rules and regulations.
  • The medium of instruction across all courses would be English. The candidates applying for the courses at NIT Calicut are supposed to have a functional knowledge of English, which implies that they should have the ability to read, write, understand and speak the language.
